Our Competition Dogs
CH Dogwood’s Benelli is an outstanding Gundog with lot’s of style and a 12 o’clock tail. He is closing in on his Dual Championship. Benny is a bird finding machine with a great nose. It is not uncommon for him to lock up on point from 20+ feet away! At just six years of age, he has his Major wins and is just a couple of points away from finishing his Dual Championship.. Benny is certainly the star of our breeding program and in his first year as our #1 sire, he is producing outstanding pups. You will be hard pressed to find a stronger pedigree with more than 70% of the dogs titled, including 39 Field Champions, 10 National Champions, 9 Hall Of Fame dogs and 12 Dual Champions. Benny is PennHipped on the 90th percentile.

Whiski is one of the nicest young males on the field trial circuit. He finished 2020 as the #1 Derby in the Nation. He is sired by Runner-up National Champion, FC Whiskey's Lil Tip and out of our top female, Dogwood's Top Shelf Tequila. He has his Juvenile points and will be competing to complete his Field Championship in 2021. Whiski is a hard-driving hunter with a great nose and a biddable spirit. He is intense on his birds with lots of style. There are 39 Field Champions, 13 National Champions, 16 Hall of Fame Dogs, and 12 Dual Champions in his five generation pedigree. Watch for Whiski at the Spring trials in 2021. Whiski is trained and handled in Open All Age by Bob Burchett.

Hottie is another of our young stars that was "Hot" right out of the box. She made her show debut late summer of 2017 and quickly found the winners circle, earning 5 points towards her Bench Championship before she turned one year old. She is showing great promise and will be campaigned in Puppy Stakes the fall of 2018. She has a terrific nose and great intensity and style on her birds. We are excited to hunt her in the fall as well. Hottie is sired by DC Turningpts Landslide (Mack). Mack placed in the National Amateur Gun Dog Championship in both 2016 and 2017, receiving the Runner-up title in 2017. Hotties mother is GCH CH Wild Mountain Masterpiece.

CH Dogwood Cora Ripley (Cora)
Cora is the youngest dog on our competition string and will make her debut in the show ring this spring and in Puppy stakes in the fall of 2018. She is sired by Mr. Impressive, who is a tremendous son of Rip, and out of Fearless. We have high hopes for her as she matures and believe she will easily finish her Dual Championship.
Dogwood's Outlaw Joe (Joe)
Joe will be making his debut in Puppy Stakes the fall of 2018. He is a son of three time National Champion and Dual Champion, NGDC NAGDC DC High Hopes Dark Nite and out of our own CH BGD's Outlaw Josey Wales. It will be nearly impossible to find a better pedigree, with 32 Field Champions, 10 National Champions, 8 Hall of Fame dogs and 12 Dual Champions. Watch for Joe to be one of the top young dogs over the next several years.
